Isla Theatre Project’s English production of ‘A Christmas Carol’ continues daily until this Sunday, 21st. Expect Christmas Carols and more in this magical telling of the story of Ebenezer Scrooge – suitable for all the family. A gospel concert has become a popular feature of the festive season at Palma Auditorium. This year the Alabama Gospel Choir returns to the island for the eighth time to perform a repertoire including 19th-century spiritual, protest, and freedom songs. The concert is on Sunday 21st at 7pm. Tickets are 35 euros and available from the Auditorium box office or the website www.auditoriumpalma.com

Get yourself in the festive mood with Christmas carols by the choir of the Swedish church, who’ll be performing this Wednesday (17th) in the Art Bar at Simply Fosh in Palma. There’ll be glühwein and canapes to enjoy while you’re listening. The event is on from 7pm until 8.30pm.


Puerto Portals has its traditional Christmas market, open weekdays from 4pm until 9pm and at weekends from noon until nine. There’s live music, kiddies’ activities, Father Christmas, and much more. The market continues until January 6th.


This Friday (19th), join in the Carols by Candlelight - a traditional carol service taking place in Magaluf at the Upper Room Christian Fellowship, Mince pies and mulled wine will be served after the service, which starts at 7pm.

This weekend Son Servera holds its Christmas Fair. It opens on Saturday at 4.30pm in the Plaza de Sant Joan. As well as the usual festive stalls, there’s a magic show for children at 5.30pm and, at 8.30pm a Christmas choir concert at Sant Joan church.


The village of Alaró has a Christmas concert on Saturday 20th, with the Orfeo d’Alaro performing at Sant Bartomeu church at 9pm.


On Wednesday 17th there’s a Christmas concert in the Club de Pollensa in the Plaza Major in Pollensa.Camareta Pollencina and the Grup Coral 7/17 perform at 8.30pm. Entry is just 3 euros (free for Club members).


Lluc monastery has their Christmas Fair again this coming Saturday and Sunday, in the cloisters. On Sunday you’ll be able to hear the famous Lluc choir – Els Blauets – sing mass at 11am.
