If you still haven’t got to grips with tax residency and the Form 720, introduced last year, Europeos por España have organised a presentation about it, in English, on Thursday, March 13th. Here’s advance notice of a fantastic fundraising event on Friday, April 11th, for local cancer charities, the Cancer Support Group Mallorca and Un Lazo en Movimento. ‘Table for 100’ this year takes place at the lovely rural finca Las Esencias de ses Rotes in Esporles valley and includes five-course dinner, prepared by chef Jeff Harter and Marc Fosh catering, raffle, auction and dancing, with live music from Arron Reece. SON SERRA DE MARINA

Dogs For U has organised a walk with their dogs on the beautiful virgin beach at Son Serra de Marina for Saturday, March 1st before the beach is closed to dogs for the summer season. If you’d like to join them for a group walk and take your own dog too, it costs 5 euros per person, and you’ll meet up at 12 noon at the harbour parking area. And finally, Cancer Support Mallorca is looking for volunteers who can help create awareness of the help the association offers cancer patients and their families, by handing out leaflets at the various fairs held all over the island. They are also looking for people who speak fluent Spanish and English and drive a car, who can take patients to medical appointments and translate for them. Conservatives Abroad has organized a ‘Saturday Night Special’ for February 22nd. It’s a dinner, also at Aroma Restaurant, with music by The Hats, a karaoke competition and a top-class raffle. The three-course dinner (with a choice of dishes) includes a glass of cava on arrival, a half-bottle of Rioja per person, water and coffee, and costs 29 euros a head. SON CALIU
If you have small children or regular contact with any, you may be interested in a workshop where you can learn First Aid for, and how to deal with illness in, babies, infants and children. Palmanova-based family doctor and certified First Aid trainer, Dr Amit Bajpai, is leading the workshop, at the Salvation Army Hall in Son Caliu, on Friday, February 7th, from 10am until 12 noon. Would you like to be able to give a loved one an Indian Head Massage?  This ancient form of ayurvedic healing has been used for more than 5,000 years and is an application of different massage and stroking techniques on upper back, shoulders, neck, arms, scalp, face and ears. It’s a massage that doesn’t require the person being treated to take off their clothes, and is quick and easy to learn.
